With processing power up to seven times faster than previous generations, charts are drawn quickly and routes calculated with lightning speed, while comprehensive connectivity ensures all your devices work seamlessly together.

This black box system allows you to build extensive networks linking multiple chartplotters, monitors, radars, cameras, and sonars with gigabit-class speeds and minimal lag. Monitor engine performance, control your autopilot from any compatible chartplotter, and view camera feeds directly on your displays, including bird’s-eye perspectives with the Surround View Camera System. Integrated audio and video capabilities allow content to be shared consistently across all networked screens and speakers.

Connectivity extends beyond the helm with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ANT technologies. Wireless software updates are made easy via the ActiveCaptain app, while compatible Garmin smartwatches provide remote control over key MFD functions, including chart zoom, layout shortcuts, Fusion stereo, autopilot, and more. Voice commands through a compatible headset further enhance control and convenience.

For anglers, the Garmin GPSMAP 9500 Black Box supports Garmin’s full suite of sonar options, including CHIRP traditional sonar, GSD 28 xCHIRP high-powered sonar, ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonars, and Panoptix PS70 or LiveScope XR live sonar. Fishing data is enhanced with Fish Mapping via SiriusXM Radio (accessory and subscription required).

Chart coverage is equally advanced, with support for Garmin Navionics+ and Navionics Vision+ cartography. High-resolution depth shading, 1′ contours, premium relief shading, satellite imagery, and Auto Guidance+ provide clear, detailed, and constantly updated navigation information. A one-year subscription to daily chart updates via the ActiveCaptain app is included, keeping your navigation current and reliable.
