The Garmin GPSMAP 8412 Chartplotter delivers premium multifunction-display performance in a sleek 12″ touchscreen unit designed for serious anglers, cruisers and sailors. Its full HD IPS display provides superior clarity, wide viewing angles and excellent sunlight readability, even when wearing polarized sunglasses. With built-in Garmin Navionics+ inland and coastal mapping, the Garmin GPSMAP 8412 Chartplotter offers confident navigation right out of the box, while the simplified mounting options allow you to create a modern glass-helm layout or a flush-mounted finish for a clean, integrated look.

This chartplotter allows you to expand your onboard capabilities through the Garmin Marine Network, enabling the sharing of maps, radar, sonar, cameras and user data across multiple compatible devices. NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 support makes it easy to connect autopilots, digital switching, AIS, VHF, audio systems and additional sensors. Built-in Wi-Fi pairs with the ActiveCaptain app for access to OneChart, smart notifications, software updates, Garmin Quickdraw data and more.

Although the Garmin GPSMAP 8412 Chartplotter model does not include built-in sonar, it fully supports the integration of external sonar modules, Panoptix and LiveScope systems when paired with compatible hardware. Sailors benefit from Garmin SailAssist features, including laylines, race start guidance, enhanced wind data and sailing polars for performance optimization. With ANT and Bluetooth technology, the system connects seamlessly to devices such as quatix watches, GNX instruments, wireless remotes and gWind sensors. SmartMode station controls allow one-touch access to essential functions during critical moments, while OneHelm integration unifies third-party system controls on a single interface. The unit also supports inReach messaging, enabling communication directly from the Garmin GPSMAP 8412 Chartplotter when paired with an inReach device.
