Apeks XTX50/XTX40 Regulator Pack – DIN 300Bar

The Apeks XTX50/XTX40 Regulator Pack – DIN 300 Bar is designed for discerning divers who want the performance, reliability, and advanced engineering of a feature-rich regulator without stepping into an extreme price bracket. This regulator pack combines proven Apeks technology with practical design elements that enhance breathing performance, hose routing, and overall comfort across a wide range of diving conditions, including cold water environments.

At the heart of the system is the DST first stage, featuring a unique over-balanced diaphragm design. As the diver descends, this over-balancing feature allows the medium-pressure gas in the hose to increase at a rate faster than the surrounding ambient pressure. The result is consistently smooth and reliable breathing performance, even at depth. The first stage includes four medium-pressure ports mounted on a rotating turret, along with two high-pressure ports, all carefully angled to provide optimal hose routing while eliminating sharp bends that can restrict flow or cause premature hose wear. An optional fifth medium-pressure port is available, making the system suitable for sidemount or twin-cylinder configurations.

The XTX second stage is pneumatically balanced, ensuring easy, smooth breathing throughout the dive. The Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system allows divers to tailor the regulator to their needs by choosing between a small exhaust tee for a compact, streamlined setup or a larger exhaust tee that minimizes bubble interference—particularly valuable for underwater photography. Both exhaust tee options are supplied with the regulator.

The Apeks XTX50/XTX40 Regulator Pack can be converted from a right-handed to a left-handed hose configuration, offering flexibility for different setups, although this must only be carried out by an Apeks authorised service technician. Braided flexi-hoses are supplied as standard, providing lighter weight, increased flexibility, and enhanced durability. The regulator is suitable for cold water use below 10°C and is compatible with EAN40 straight out of the box.
