The Apeks WTX-D40 Single Cylinder Wing is part of the highly adaptable Apeks WTX and WTX-D Series, a modular system of harnesses, buoyancy cells, and accessories designed to offer exceptional versatility for a wide range of diving styles. Built to seamlessly bridge the gap between technical and recreational diving, this single cylinder wing can be configured into a highly technical rig or scaled down into a streamlined, travel-friendly setup suitable for everyday diving.

Single cylinder wings, often referred to as donut wings, feature an oval-shaped air cell that is not permanently attached to a harness. While their origins lie in technical diving, these wings have become increasingly popular among recreational divers due to their excellent stability and streamlined profile.

The continuous loop design allows air to circulate freely around the wing, preventing sudden or uneven air shifts from side to side. This results in consistent buoyancy, improved trim, and greater control throughout the dive.

The Apeks WTX-D40 Single Cylinder Wing is designed so that the cylinder nests deep within the wing, helping to maintain a compact profile and reducing drag underwater. This design contributes to improved balance and stability while also allowing the wing to integrate cleanly with the rest of the Apeks WTX range, including harnesses, backplates, and accessories. The outer shell is constructed from tough 1000D Armorshield Cordura, providing excellent resistance to abrasion and wear, while the inner air cell is made from thick black urethane for long-term reliability. Thoughtful design elements such as a low-profile inflator, optimally positioned dump valve, and efficient drainage system ensure easy operation without disrupting trim.
