Description
ONWA AIS MOB Device
The ONWA AIS MOB Device is a compact, reliable man-overboard (MOB) alert system designed to provide fast, accurate location information in emergencies. Using AIS (Automatic Identification System) technology, it transmits GPS target tracking information directly to compatible plotters and onboard navigation systems, assisting in the rapid location and retrieval of individuals who have fallen overboard. Lightweight and small, the device can be easily mounted on a life jacket without adding unnecessary bulk or weight, making it a convenient and essential safety tool for boaters.
Each ONWA AIS MOB Device features a unique serialized ID, ensuring that every transmission is individually identifiable for clear tracking. Equipped with a bright LED flashing indicator and audible buzzer, it provides visual and auditory confirmation of activation, even in challenging conditions. Designed for durability, the device offers a minimum of 24 hours of continuous operation and a long-term battery life of up to seven years, ensuring reliability whenever it is needed.
The device meets multiple international safety and environmental standards, including EC 61097-14, 60945 (environmental/EMC), 61108 part 1, and ITU-R M.1371, giving users confidence in its performance under rigorous marine conditions. Its small form factor, measuring just 24 x 50 x 130mm (0.93 x 1.96 x 5.08in) and weighing only 120g (4.23oz), allows for easy deployment and minimal interference with standard boating operations.
