The Apeks MTX-RC Regulator – DIN 300 Bar is a high-performance, cold-water regulator designed for divers who demand reliability, comfort, and durability in extreme conditions. Built on a robust MTX platform, the MTX-RC combines advanced thermal management, ergonomic design, and cutting-edge protective features to deliver an exceptional diving experience. The first stage features a satin-plated brass body with heat-exchanging ribs for maximum thermal performance, helping to reduce the effects of gas expansion in cold conditions. A breakthrough over-moulded first-stage endcap and environmental diaphragm prevent ice build-up, which can cause free flow in extreme conditions, and provide added impact protection. A ribbed diaphragm clamp further improves thermal efficiency, while the over-balanced diaphragm design ensures superior performance as depth increases by allowing medium-pressure gas to rise faster than ambient pressure.

The first stage is equipped with five medium-pressure ports, four of which are mounted on a rotating turret to optimise hose orientation, and two angled high-pressure ports for easy routing and secure transmitter fitting. A double swivel hose adds freedom of movement and comfort. Divers can choose from DIN, Yoke, or M26 connections (300 bar, 232 bar, or M26 300 bar for O2 use) with an easy-to-grip hand-wheel that requires only one hand to operate. The MTX-RC is EN250A tested for octopus use to 60 metres in cold water and is Nitrox/Oxygen compatible up to 40% O2 outside the EU.

The second stage is designed for simplicity, protection, and comfort. Large protective bumpers guard against impacts and scratches in vulnerable areas, while an ergonomic venturi lever and oversized breathing effort adjuster allow for easy operation even while wearing gloves. A large purge button provides controlled clearing, and the reversible second stage can be configured for either left- or right-hand hose routing. The patented heat exchanger dissipates cold caused by gas expansion while drawing in ambient warmth for a more comfortable breathing experience.

The innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system allows divers to switch between small and large exhaust tees, which are both supplied. A Comfo-bite mouthpiece enhances comfort by reducing jaw fatigue, and a flexible nylon braided hose offers superior cold-water performance compared to traditional rubber hoses.

The MTX-RC is manufactured with no single-use plastics in the packaging, reflecting Apeks’ commitment to sustainability.
