Aqualung LEG3ND Elite Din 300 Bar Regulator is designed for advanced divers who want precise control, refined ergonomics, and the ability to fine-tune their breathing performance. The LEG3ND Elite builds on proven regulator technology while introducing advanced features that allow divers to customise their breathing preferences with exceptional accuracy. This regulator system is engineered to deliver consistent performance across a wide range of conditions, including demanding cold-water environments.

The first stage incorporates Aqualung’s Auto Closure Device (ACD), which automatically keeps the inlet closed when the regulator is not connected to a cylinder valve. This helps protect internal components from contamination and corrosive water, preserves internal lubrication, keeps the inlet filter clean and dry, and provides increased safety when using elevated percentages of oxygen.

Cold-water performance is enhanced through a combination of three anti-freeze design elements. An integrated dry chamber isolates internal components from the external environment, preventing moisture ingress. Deep heat-exchange ribs increase surface area to help prevent ice formation, while the overmolded cap slows ice build-up on the external diaphragm. The first stage is auto-balanced (over-balanced), automatically increasing working pressure with depth to counteract higher breathing air density and maintain optimal breathing effort.

Ergonomics are a key focus, with bi-material Soft Grip DIN and YOKE screws designed for easier handling, especially with cold hands. A channeled YOKE screw helps prevent water retention, while a specialised ACD dust cap, attached directly to the regulator body, protects both the inlet fitting and the ACD system from impact or damage. Optimally positioned HP and MP ports support clean and efficient hose routing.

The second stage is engineered to improve airflow management and breathing comfort. Front cover opening channels allow water to flow sideways over the diaphragm, while radial openings help prevent freeflow in strong currents. Widened openings reduce peak inspiratory flow by 20%, supporting smoother inhalation. A new overmolded exhaust cover, made from elastomer with a soft-touch finish, works alongside an overmolded air purge with a wide surface area to make purging easier. The purge depth controller optimises airflow with minimal effort.

Comfort is further enhanced with the patented Comfobite mouthpiece, designed to reduce jaw fatigue and secure the second stage comfortably in place. A detachable and reusable mouthpiece clamp allows for quick, tool-free mouthpiece changes while reducing plastic waste. The enlarged heat exchanger helps prevent freezing of the second stage mechanism, while the air channel deflector evenly distributes airflow during inhalation and lowers exhalation effort. The system is completed with a flexible and lightweight Aqua Flex hose fitted with dual protectors.
