Seastar HP6032 Helm Service Kit

The SeaStar HP6032 Helm Service Kit is designed for use with most SeaStar and BayStar hydraulic helms, providing the essential components to attach your steering wheel to the hydraulic helm. This kit includes the nut and key required for proper installation. It is not compatible with specific helm models, such as the HH5279-3, HH5281-3, and others listed below.

Not for use with the following helms:

• HH5279-3 or HH5279
• HH5281-3 or HH5280, HH5281, HH5282, HH5283
• HH5217-3 or HH5217
• HH5218-3 or HH5218
• HH5224-3 or HH5224
• HH5225-3 or HH5225
• HH4015, HH4016

Installation Instructions

• Remove the steering wheel.
• Remove the woodruff key.
• Loosen and remove the 3 Phillips head screws.
• Remove the top plate.
• Remove the old Quad ring seal.
• Lightly lubricate the new Quad ring seal.
• Place the new seal into position, ensuring it’s fully seated in the groove.
• Install the top plate, ensuring the CE mark is at top dead center.
• Install the 3 Phillips head screws and torque them to 6-9 in-lb.
• Lubricate the steering shaft with good quality marine grease.
• Install the steering wheel and torque the wheel shaft nut to 150 in-lb (do not exceed 200 in-lb).
• Fill and purge the system to remove air.
• This service kit ensures your helm is properly maintained and ready for smooth, reliable operation.
