For watersports or a relaxed cruise, staying on plane at lower speeds can make the boat easier to manage. Results depend on the hull, load, engine height and trim, so fuel savings and speed changes will vary.

Check the fit before you buy

SE Sport specifies the 300 for compatible outboards and sterndrives from 40 HP upward, including 300 HP and larger engines. Horsepower alone does not confirm fit. Check the engine model, cavitation-plate shape, clearance and mounting instructions.

• The manufacturer recommends a cavitation plate wider than 5 inches (127 mm) for this model.
• Overall size is approximately 17 inches wide by 14 inches front to back (432 x 356 mm).
• Some Honda and Volvo installations need additional fittings or adjustments. The Volvo Ocean Series XDP is excluded.

Installation and included hardware

Standard installation uses drilled mounting holes. The supplied kit includes four stainless-steel bolts, locking nuts, stainless washers and rubber washers. Follow the manufacturer’s installation guide and check any engine-specific requirements before drilling.
