The Apeks MTX-RC/MTX-RC Regulator Pack – DIN 300 Bar is a high-performance regulator system engineered specifically for demanding cold water and technical diving environments. Designed and manufactured in the UK, this regulator builds on Apeks’ proven extreme-environment pedigree, combining advanced thermal management, rugged construction, and refined breathing control into a system suitable for serious recreational and technical divers alike.

The first stage features a satin-plated brass body with integrated heat-exchanging ribs, maximising thermal performance and reducing the risk of freezing in cold water conditions. A breakthrough over-moulded first-stage end cap and environmental diaphragm help prevent ice build-up that could otherwise cause first-stage free flow in extreme circumstances, while also providing added protection against impact damage. A ribbed diaphragm clamp further enhances heat exchange, ensuring consistent performance during prolonged cold water exposure.

Apeks’ unique over-balanced diaphragm design allows the medium-pressure gas in the hose to increase at a faster rate than ambient pressure as the diver descends. This results in superior breathing performance at depth, maintaining smooth and reliable airflow even under increased demand. Hose routing is optimised through five medium-pressure ports, four of which are mounted on a rotating turret, along with two angled high-pressure ports that allow for clean hose layouts and secure transmitter fitting. A double swivel hose increases freedom of movement and comfort, particularly when diving in restrictive exposure suits.

The second stage is equally robust and diver-focused. Protective bumpers shield vulnerable areas from impacts and scratches, while the large purge button and oversized breathing effort adjuster allow easy operation in cold water while wearing gloves. An ergonomic venturi lever provides simple, effective control of airflow.

The second stage is fully reversible, allowing left- or right-hand gas supply configurations to suit individual setups. A patented heat exchanger dissipates cold caused by gas expansion while drawing in ambient water warmth, improving comfort and cold water reliability. The Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system allows divers to switch between small and large exhaust tees, both of which are supplied, depending on preference and diving requirements.
