Built around the same performance philosophy as the Helix regulator range, this octopus provides dependable airflow, excellent thermal performance, and clear emergency visibility, making it a strong choice for both recreational and advancing divers.

At the core of the Helix Octopus is a pneumatically balanced second stage, which ensures smooth and consistent breathing across a range of depths and conditions. Pneumatic balancing reduces the effort required to inhale, helping to deliver air evenly and predictably even when demand increases. This is especially important during air-sharing situations, where stress levels can be high and calm, effortless breathing contributes significantly to diver safety.

Cold-water performance is enhanced through the inclusion of a patented heat exchanger that surrounds the valve mechanism. As compressed gas expands, it naturally cools, which can contribute to discomfort and regulator freeze-up in colder environments. The heat exchanger helps dissipate this cold while simultaneously drawing warmth from the surrounding water. This design supports more comfortable breathing and improved reliability, particularly in cooler dive conditions or during longer dives.

The Helix Octopus also features an easy-to-grip Venturi lever, allowing the diver to manage airflow with confidence. When set appropriately, the Venturi control helps prevent unwanted freeflow at the surface, such as when the octopus is clipped off or exposed to wave action. At depth, the lever can be adjusted to enhance performance, ensuring the octopus delivers air smoothly and efficiently when in use. The lever is designed to be easy to locate and operate, even while wearing gloves.
