The Apeks XTX Tungsten Regulator Pack – DIN 300 Bar is a premium regulator system built on the proven XTX200 platform and enhanced with an exceptionally durable Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) finish. Designed for divers who demand both performance and long-term durability, the XTX Tungsten combines Apeks’ advanced breathing technology with a rugged protective coating that goes beyond traditional chrome plating. The PVD coating is made using high-quality grades of Titanium, Zirconium, and Chromium, resulting in a finish that is not only visually striking but also highly resistant to wear, corrosion, and the everyday abuse associated with demanding dive environments.

At the core of the Apeks XTX Tungsten Regulator Pack is the FSR first stage, featuring a unique over-balanced diaphragm design. As depth increases, this over-balancing mechanism allows the medium-pressure gas in the hose to increase at a faster rate than ambient pressure, delivering superior breathing performance at depth. Two high-pressure ports and four medium-pressure ports are angled for optimal hose routing, while an environmental dry sealing system keeps water out of the main spring chamber. This prevents ice build-up in cold water and protects internal components from silt and contamination, making the regulator suitable for cold water use below 10°C / 50°F.

The XTX Tungsten is supplied complete with a fifth port, offering additional hose routing flexibility and incorporating an integrated heat exchanger for enhanced cold water performance.

The pneumatically balanced second stage provides smooth, effortless breathing across a wide range of diving conditions. The Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system allows divers to configure the exhaust to suit their needs, with a choice between a small exhaust tee for a compact setup or a larger exhaust tee to minimise bubble interference—particularly beneficial for underwater photography. Both exhaust tee options are included. The second stage also features extensive diver-adjustable controls, including a large venturi lever with a soft-touch grip and an easy-to-grip opening effort control knob, giving divers precise control over breathing resistance.

Braided flexi-hoses are supplied as standard, offering lighter weight, increased flexibility, and improved durability compared to traditional rubber hoses. The Apeks XTX Tungsten Regulator Pack can be converted from a right-handed to a left-handed hose configuration, although this must only be performed by an Apeks authorised service technician. Compatible with EAN40 straight out of the box, the Apeks XTX Tungsten Regulator Pack is a refined, hard-wearing regulator designed for divers who want top-tier performance with exceptional longevity.
