Steering & Controls

Need help with steering or controls?

Call XtremeMarine on 087 550 2974 for product guidance before ordering. Have your boat or engine model and any existing part numbers ready so we can help you identify the right item.

Choose marine steering and control parts around your boat’s existing setup. A matching brand name or similar-looking fitting is only a starting point: confirm the exact component and application before ordering.

Have your fitment details ready

  • Boat and engine: note the hull type, propulsion type, number of engines, engine make and model, and horsepower.
  • Existing system: record the part numbers on the helm, steering cable or hydraulic cylinder. Keep photographs of labels and connections for reference.
  • Installation: check the required cable or hose length using the manufacturer’s measuring instructions. Include the number of steering stations, helm configuration and any autopilot when identifying a hydraulic system.

Dometic’s hydraulic selection guidance starts with the vessel and cylinder requirements before choosing the helm. Use the manufacturer’s current application guide to confirm the complete combination; do not assume cables, hoses, helms or cylinders are interchangeable.

For throttle and shift controls, confirm the control model, engine application and specified cable connection before choosing a replacement. If fitment remains uncertain, have a qualified marine installer verify the setup.
