The Garmin GPSMAP 1223 Non-Sonar Chartplotter delivers powerful integration, enhanced processing and premium navigation features within a refined 12″ display. Designed for complete connectivity at the helm, it easily links with more engines and works seamlessly with compatible third-party systems through OneHelm™ digital switching. With extensive network capabilities, you can build a fully connected marine system and enjoy support for advanced charts, sailing tools and onboard control features.

This chartplotter is part of the GPSMAP® X3 series, offering added processing power and a modern slimline design with edge-to-edge glass. The improved IPS display provides higher resolution and significantly better sunlight readability, with upgraded visibility from any angle. Although this model is the non-sonar version, the X3 series platform supports a wide variety of sonar technologies when paired with compatible xsv models or external modules. Features such as Ultra High-Definition SideVü and ClearVü scanning sonar, traditional CHIRP, and live sonar options like Panoptix™ and LiveScope™ remain accessible through system integration (transducers sold separately).

The Garmin GPSMAP 1223 Non-Sonar Chartplotter enhances navigation through compatibility with optional Garmin Navionics+™ and Garmin Navionics Vision+™ cartography, giving you access to detailed coastal and inland charts, daily updates and Auto Guidance+™ technology. For added awareness on the water, a compact 4 kW GMR™ 18 HD+ radar can be included as part of an optional bundle.

Fishing and anchoring systems integrate smoothly, including support for the advanced features of Power-Pole® shallow water anchors and CHARGE Marine Power Manager, allowing monitoring and control directly from the display. Sailors benefit from Garmin SailAssist™, offering laylines, start line guidance, wind data and sailing polars to optimize performance.

Through the Garmin Marine Network, you can share maps, radar, user data and video across multiple compatible devices. NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183 connectivity enables integration with autopilots, digital switching, VHF, AIS, weather and audio systems. Built-in Wi-Fi® pairs with the ActiveCaptain® app for chart updates, smart notifications and access to community features, while integrated ANT® technology connects with devices such as quatix® marine watches and GNX™ instruments.
